Final Documentary
Today is the day I finally get to share with you a story about a man who has blessed my life in incredible ways! Below you’ll find a link to the documentary I had so much joy in creating. Before you jump in, I want to set the stage and give a little background on Fernando Villalobos and what went into creating this short film. If you haven’t checked out my previous posts, I encourage you to do so, as your experience will be much richer.

Fernando Villalobos, an EMT, husband to Laura, father to Sophia, and an avid cook and tennis player, is in many ways just like you and I. He lives a peaceful life in Athens, GA. That hasn’t always been the case. He is a world traveller, having lived in Bolivia, Colombia, and several more South American countries. His entire life has been devoted to preaching the Gospel which was initially spurred on by a friendship with Julio Ruibal. In my annotated bibliography I give more detail on who Julio was, but in all simplicity he is know as the Apostle of the Andes, and the father of the Bolivian Revival. In this short film, Fernando and I spend time cooking a favorite meal of his (lamb chops in a homemade marinade) and looking through old newspapers documenting the revival as he recounts his experiences. Overall, I spent 4 hours in Fernando’s home and in a sense it felt like no time at all. He is so welcoming, loving, and a very fatherly individual; I hope you get that sense while watching this video. This is more than a profile. This is an attempt to connect you with one of Athens hidden gems.
