Boss Talk

I sacked every boss I ever had — the cream Lords with the yellow jackets — every surrealist must take the money and run — you can’t employ an active volcano and lay down the rules.

I was odd man out in pay packet town, I ruled from the bottom where the dust carts roll, market value loves a numeric twist, I added value by being myself.

I played politics at it’s own game — neither one of us was serious — the nation likes a big fool — the tabloids called me Tom Foolery. They count the world’s debt in trillions, I re-branded it and sold it on as a cure for stupidity — sometimes you can act wise and play the fool on TV.

I forgot my lines in every interview, my ad libs got me the job by serendipity, I wrote my own job description and paid myself double every single day. I’m the master of delegation — I shared the work out to those unqualified — this is how equality works — I sacked myself for being boss.

They got me to sign up to their protocol, how I love to break the rules, I changed my name to ‘Nothing Here’ — ain’t life a game of hide n seek! There’s no wisdom in the world — people just strut and stagger — existence is the result of two people shagging — why dress it up as philosophy. Eat, drink and read comics — that’s all there is to do!

Ah! but.. you say — well I’ve read all the books myself — if you don’t think it’s all smoke and mirrors — you’ve never sacked all your bosses”
