Floyd’s TKO saves Vegas
Floyd Mayweather with a 49–0 record in boxing faced Conor McGregor, a UFC MMA fighter making his professional boxing debut, on Saturday in Las Vegas in the biggest boxing match in history.
This boxing match brought in more bet money than any single event in sports history.
Floyd was able to take care of business after surprising early rounds that went McGregor’s way, finishing him with a TKO in the 10th, becoming the first boxer ever to go 50–0.

Business Insider notes that if Conor McGregor won the fight it would’ve been Vegas’s worst loss in betting history, close to $50 million.
The Telegraph, a British Newspaper in London says Mayweather attempted to bet on himself hours before the fight; one to win under 9.5 rounds and another on him knocking out McGregor, both for six figures; both of which would have won.
Regardless of whether or not Mayweather got his two six figure bets in, he is expected to make $200 million from the boxing match.
