Why slander someone as a racist? Islam is not a race. It is that kind of poor argument that prevents progress. You are just dismissing a person with clear experience with and knowledge of the subject by trying to categorize them as the most despicable brand of moron you can think of. The fact is that there is absolutely nothing wrong with judging someone for their culture. Which is 99% of what people try to say is racist. If your culture oppresses women I don’t like your culture, if the majority of your culture is made up of people with the same genetic background I don’t have to stop hating your actions because someone is going to pretend I hate you for your genetics. Its utter and complete nonsense and you know it. This is an argument about the ideas and practices that certain groups have in common. Not about their skin color. 1.2 billion people is a massive amount of genetic diversity.

As for your point about other religions. That argument is played out. Mormons used to not allow black people in their church, now they do. They are currently fairly harmless people even though they still have bad ideas. The same can be said for most of Christendom. Bad ideas, but not ones that are sending people on holy missions to kill every day. So lets focus on the pernicious ideas and work our way down the list and science the hell out of the rest of them until we can live in as rational a world as possible. Just stop trying to shut down people that identify Islam as the current worst by using misdirection about other religions. The magic trick is obvious, it is not working. Lets cut the bullshit and be problem solvers.
