An absolutely valid and great question. I am not sure if it was in this previous response or in another related article, but I have always been open to reasonable and proven gun violence preventative measures to be enacted. I don’t think any legislation has really been effective and I would love to see one that can steadily decline gun casualties.

I am definitely open to required safety classes and training, mental health evaluations, or other reasonable measures (specifications easily negotiable) to see if they actually help. I think a bit of trial and error should be an open way of solving this and anything that has no real effect either scrap it or hinder it some more.

This shouldn’t involve political secret agenda BS (hard to stop that though) as manipulation to attain a goal only to the self-interest of a party or politician will just further deepen this pointless and solvable divide. Bias rhetoric and perceptions have caused too much friction plus a confused distrust of opponents on the issue.
