I grew up with quite a few different Mormon friends and their families. They were some of the most welcoming and generous people I knew growing up. I never felt judged or un-welcomed by any of them. Which, wasn’t always the case in a predominantly rich and white town being a darker shade of skin with little or no money.
There were quite a few really good families that made me feel accepted, but every single one of the 5 Mormon families treated me like a cousin or nephew. I have heard a lot of different things about the Mormon church and faith, good and bad, but I will always have a positive and very humble view on my Mormon friends.
Myself, I am not religious in any way, but I support any and all people who want to practice their faith as long as they are not harming innocent lives. I judge a person on their actions and their actions alone and don’t hold an entire group of people to one part of their groups actions. So, do you and enjoy your life however you want to spend it!
