It is fairly normal around the U.S. for teachers to have some sort of retirement benefits/plan, so I don’t understand the “rape” that is happening. We would need to exhibit other school district’s budgeted benefit funds that are being greatly exceeded by the benefit funds in Detroit. For comparison, do you recall Detroit’s spending for teacher’s benefits? Either a far higher percentage or actual fund amount given in Detroit’s allocated benefit funds, would show validity for a drastic claim such as “rape.”
