Those other responses were too busy trying to thinking up pointless rhetoric to even comprehend what this article saying, obviously. I have the ability to understand that you only referred to Trump, who is one of many that had advantages to get where they are. It should be obvious that he is not self-made.
However, I feel the wealth he has today is completely dismissed as earned, by this article. People make mistakes and many people have lifelines in life (not to Trump’s extent), but that doesn’t mean they should have their successes trivialized.
I in no way support Trump for president, but that shouldn’t stop me from trying to put myself in his shoes. I am a firm believer in giving credit where credit is due and Trump does deserve some credit for his current financial standing.
Still, a good perspective you brought forth and you’re absolutely right about not being self-made because there is a difference between receiving support and having an advantage. Most of society can find an equal amount of support somehow.
Support is nothing out of the ordinary whether it’s from parents or friends that let you live rent free for awhile or buying you bus passes to get to school or work.
Whereas an advantage is receiving something rarely possible or absolutely impossible for most Americans to receive or give, such as a 1 million dollar loan. You’d be delusional not to understand that.
