Big things are happening at Twitter.

Elon already proposed an $8 monthly fee to be a verified blue check and join the “Twitter Blue” community, and content monetization may be the next step.

Currently, Twitter is one of the few social media platforms that doesn’t reward content creators for their work.

YouTube, TikTok, Snapchat, Instagram, and Medium are all social platforms that already pay content creators for their contributions to the community.

According to Elon’s posts, Twitter will soon be making the same move.

While discussing the move to a subscription based model for verification on Twitter, Elon mentioned that this new stream of income for the company will be used to support content creators.

While the details are not yet clear, this could be HUGE for digital content creators.
