Day 5

Day 5

And I rested. I stumbled on a great campground the night prior so it made sense just to hang right if I wasn’t going to do anything. I recharged my batteries, caught up via phone with family and friends, and bummed out. It was a great day, with beautiful weAther, but I really wanted to be back on the road again. I made sure that I ate well in order to avoid triggering another Crohns reaction. I fixed my bike up to make sure it was in perfect condition and restocked my supplies. Most significanlty, I planned out my next week of travel- campsites and all. This felt really good to do because I can reserve space in advance if I have to. Either that, or I can call the town mayor and see if I can sleep on their lawn. I’m much more at ease now.

Hopefully tomorrow I can take advantage of my preplanning and really just enjoy the ride and the time off of the bike. When the plans are already done, I should be able to simply be.
