The Design of the Portal Locomotion
Freya Holmér

This was the first game I played that made me realize how amazing VR can be when done right. Poking my head through vents and peeking around corners also showed how much of a difference room-scale makes in the level of immersion.

It’s looking like teleportation is the only viable method right now when it comes to moving around in a virtual environment. So good on you guys for pioneering this and solving all the little quirks that make us sick. I’m sure more and more games will be using some semblance of the methods you’ve developed — at least until we all have omni-directional treadmills or Ready Player One VR rigs.

Can’t wait for the full game!
