Disclaimer*: I’m not an employee of Krowdpop (nor am I Richard Choo), but I am privy to the situation and facts that the author of this post doesn’t disclose.

Hey John Do…or maybe you are actually…Gabe Salgado, former employee of Krowdpop??? (https://www.linkedin.com/in/gabesalgado/)

First of all, when you-or maybe it was an accomplice of yours-chooses to write an inflammatory article that is high on hyberbole, low on facts, and far fetching when it comes to writing things out of context, please keep in my mind that there is always another side to the story that you are not disclosing.

Second, creating and building startup ventures is not an easy task and requires a lot of sacrifices, hustle, integrity and teamwork. For every successful startup that is out there, there are hundreds and thousands of startups that fail. Failures can come from many things be it lack of money, poor product fit, or more commonly difference in vision/direction amongst the co-founders on where the startup should go. And sometimes when founders/leaders have difference of vision, then what most commonly happens is they shake hands and walk away from the venture as amicable as possible.

Which leads me to this last point: your soap opera of a testimony sounds fancy and would sound more truthful if you would just also add that the following details: a) you couldn’t get your way with the company b) when you couldn’t get your way, you decided the next best thing to do was to try to sabotage Rich’s vision by spreading lies amongst the employees, partners and fans and c) take an idea that wasn’t yours and try to replicate it through your current venture Tourbrat (btw, that’s a pretty weird name for a company). Let me add a point d) you mention in the article that the Krowdpop app was “buggy” and that it “failed”…dude, from what I hear from my sources, you were the self proclaimed CTO who claimed that you had the technical wizardry to create such an app but couldn’t deliver. Stop passing the buck and take responsibility for your own shortcomings dude.

Thanks for reading.

Have a nice day.
