Georgia National Organization for Women President Triana Arnold James’ Portrait displayed at the High Museum of Art
[Atlanta, Georgia September 13, 2023] — The Long Arc: Photography and the American South: As the first major survey of Southern photography in twenty-five years, this exhibition examines that complicated history and reveals the South’s critical impact on the evolution of the medium, posing timely questions about American culture and character.
Georgia NOW President Triana Arnold James’s portrait taken by Dr. Jill Frank was on display during opening night. The Exhibition will be at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta, Georgia until January of 2024. The Exhibition will then move to Andover, Massachusetts and Richmond, Virginia until January 2025.
“It is truly an honor to be a part of this Exhibition and having my portrait displayed. I never imagined this little shy country black girl from Smyrna, Georgia would be a part of such a renowned and masterful artistry. I am proud and grateful to Dr Jill Frank for choosing me. We worked hard and long but we got it done. She really captured the essence of my life on canvass, she is truly talented”, says Triana Arnold James.
