Just Don’t

Suppose you are easily excited, you jump into it but shortly after you junped into it you feel depressed all of a sudden. Every time again this happens to you. And it puzzles you. Should you be without expectations more or ignore the excitement arising? You know however you will be less satisfied if you do so. At the same time you know excitement is a trap, it feels like happiness. What should you do?
Some questions I like to ask if this were a real problem;
Do expectations actually cause happiness?
Who are you being while you are in that state prior to the feeling of excitement? Is it a state of boredom? Do you live in the future?
Are you being in a environment that is supportive and challenging you in your thinking about these situation?
Why are you creating this vicious circle and limit your openness and receptiveness for other things in your life? Do you live a life of moments of excitement after another? It that the essence of your life?
Who is observing this vicious circle? Is it your personhood, is it the ego, it the I, is it your addicted brain, is it your habit to create never ending spirals to get stuck in so you get some kind of attention? Who is it?
And you know, all these questions and observations might support you in solving the problem I described.
And on the other hand, they don’t mean a thing.
Just don’t get yourself in these kinds of figments.
We are really good at creating these figments.
The ego loves it, the brain loves to be busy, the person in you loves to explore the inner world. Etc.
It doesn’t serve you in your awakening or staying awakened.
The hassle only started with one thought.
And thoughts come and go as you know.
So, let them go.
This one I described may come again, just don’t make a big thing out of it.
The next time the thought comes of stepping into excitement, you just look at it and wait a second.
That’s all.
After that it is gone.
And suddenly you are in another world.
A world of finding or better discovering other opportunities in the space that shows itself.
Don’t start a search.
Just see what happens.
Just don’t make anything happen that will create another vicious circle.
Vicious circles are from the past.
The past doesn’t live in the presence.
Oh, and by the way, the presence, your consciousness was asking the question I described……..
The presence observed you having a dilemma.
The presence gave you the opportunity to discover the answer.
I just helped a little bit.
Listen to the presence.
In there is all you need to know.
Namasté.
