My Story…


I promised you yesterday. Nobody out there who dared to share his or hers….? 4 Questions. Better brace yourself, it will be long and worthwile. Not just because it is my story. Everybody has his or her own story that needs to be told. Let us share. Here I go;

What is your unique ability?

Treasure hunting and sharing the treasures with the world to awesomize everybody.

How did you discover that? Did you struggle to find it? How hard was it to find it? Did you experience a breakthrough?

I already had a Purpose but was not completely aware of it. Just acting upon it when I was training or coaching other people. A colleague of mine trained a group next to my training room. I was making a lot of noise with music, stearing up the audience. Trying to get them out of their comfortzone. Trying to let them experience shame and then get over it as fast as they could.

My colleague said to his trainees, when they looked a little bit disturbed about the noise I made; ‘Oh, that’s Paul, he is working on a therapeutical basis’ .

It was a great joke. People laughed. Half an hour later his group entered my training room. My colleague told me in the break what he’d said to his group. I thought I could use that. So, I did. I introduced myself to the group with that statement;

‘Hi, I’m Paul, I work on a therapeutical basis, so be prepared, we will be doing some crazy stuff. And please take care of me if I get confused. One thing, everything I tell you is absolutely true. No doubt about that. Should you want to discuss it, better be aware that it will confuse me as well, and it will not help me in my recovery process. I’m following a plan consisting of 12 steps. I’m at step 2. So, please have some consideration, otherwise I will fall back into step 1. And I still need about 20 years to complete the entire plan……’

The group opened up immediately.

Doing this reminded me of my old Purpose; ‘Serve the creative development of people’. It also reminded me to act from hunches. Each day I followed some hunch I got. From something I read, something I experienced, something I studied, something I saw in a movie.

Something was still not there….

Although I remembered my Purpose, I was still wondering on what I was doing on this planet; ‘What in God’s name am I doing here’. What’s the use of it all? What’s the meaning of anything I do?

I was devistated. I slept during the day for hours each day. I watched TV each day for at least 5 to 6 hours. I was only vibrant when playing football, training and coaching other people and when my kids were around. I was bullying myself all the time. I said to myself; ‘You are insignificant, you don’t mean shit to the world, you will be completely alone when you get old. Only your kids, your mother and your brother will attend your funeral if you’re lucky. You’ve got no friends, you are not doing and giving the best you can, sometimes you think you are some great guy but you’re nothing, an empty shell playing games with people avoiding intimacy. Never serious, just making jokes because you think you are funny…. You’d better end your life now!’

I could go on a lot further. The God question kept nagging me; ‘What in God’s name am I doing here?!’ I decided to call a girl-friend of mine. I hadn’t seen her for a long time. She was reading a poem at that specific moment.

And she read it at loud;

Thunderstorm

This hit me like a flash of lightning. Was it that simple? Just live the questions? OKEEEEHH. So, I transformed the question into; ‘Are you acting in God’s name?’ The answer was a Big NO. So, I went on; ‘I act in God’s name!’ WOW! God is the great creator. Should I start creating? And what should I create?

Suddenly I knew it. In my ‘thirties’ I was really successful really working hard and reading a lot of stuff, translating it into great services people liked. I just had to start doing that again. I knew I loved it. I also made a list finishing these sentences; ‘I have the ability to……..’ and ‘I have knowledge of……’ This was an endless list. I kept on writing and writing. I also made a list of the things I really loved to do and at the same time was really good at. There was a great list as well, not so long but still a great list. I combined the two lists. There it was; treasure hunter, awesomizer, inspirator. Hunting down secrets, bringing greatness to the world, through writing, inspiring, training and coaching.

One other thing.

One other thing; my girl-friend said some real powerful things. She said;

‘Each time I meet you you invite me on a adventure to discover amazing things, and then suddenly you are not there anymore……, and you keep on doing that, that’s annoying.’

DUHHH????! I immediately made a personal inventory. Answering 50 questions about guilt, shame, hate, anxiety, fears.

I discovered another thing, I was not walking the talk…….. I decided to just do it. Walk my talk now and forever. ‘I will always be here for you no matter what it takes. Answering each question you have about awesomeness. Serving you only with remarkable and indispensable products, service and messages. To enrich your lives for the rest of my life’.

My biggest challenge.

Through this I also discovered my biggest weakness. Better name it, challenge. Always having great ideas to start new businesses for myself or having great ideas other people benefited from. But never ever finished any of my ideas into a real business or followed up on them. Once I had a company of my own called; Dreamspot. Great name isn’t it? It was a dreamspot for myself. I was telling people I would help them with realizing their dreams. But I never got there. I was just too lazy to go all the way. Got only a few clients.

So, there it was, perseverance, persistency. My biggest challenge. In the past 4 months I studied a lot of experts on greatness, people who inspire others to lead an inspired life, people who support others achieving high performance. I read dozens of books. I studied online marketing experts. I saw at least 120 videos. I made summaries of each and everything I studied. I started a blog in English. I started to write my first book. Already started 6 times, but never finished any of them. Now, it’s on Amazon; ‘365 Ways on How to Love your Employees (and Customers)’ Second book will be there soon.

Courage.

Biggest thing of it all is that I am really courageous right now. I have a dream. I will arrive at my dot on the horizon. I don’t care what people think about; treasure hunter, awesomizer or inspirator. I just do. I see some amazing things. I discover some breathtaking wisdom. And I immediately apply it to myself and share it with the world. And I don’t care how much time it all costs.

Sometimes writing one article takes about 2 hours in the evening. Combining it with a Podcast, it takes about half an hour extra. I don’t care. I just do. Giving it to you. You deserve it. The world deserves it, needs it. We need to break free. Like I did. I don’t want to get upset anymore about the mediocrity around us. Everybody must wake up especially the ones who ruin the lives of others.

We must all wake up and embrace the awesomeness inside of us. God gave it to us when we were born. Everyone is a great creator. We were educated out of it by the system. The universal cosmic forces will always be there to guide us. Awesomeness is always here to guide us.

That’s why I chose three targetgroups; leaders, human beings and the ones who educate the human beings and leaders….. Trainers, coaches, speakers!

What do you believe? Why should anyone care about that?

  • I believe we all can show that we love and care for mankind.
  • I believe we can change the world for the better.
  • I believe we can all experience an enriched live, happiness and success combined.
  • I believe that we have to spread happiness.
  • I believe everybody can have a fulfilled life.
  • I believe everybody can Play their Lives.
  • I believe we can all deliver our awesomeness to the people who have less access to it. We must help them to get there as well.
  • I believe we have to equalize the entire world. Equalizing through awesomeness.
  • I believe awesomeness is about love, peace and enlightment.
  • I believe that we have to use the abundance to our benefit respecting nature and earth to the max.
