Your Love Pitch

Pitching Love
What do you say to others when they ask you what you do?
I am a trainer.
I am a scientist.
I am an artist.
I am a writer.
I am an accountant.
That will make a deep impression.
Sometimes I say ‘I am a treasure hunter and awesomizer’. This causes frowning and questioning. Then the conversations take off.
Depending on the context I adjust my pitch. I prefer to say; ‘I serve creative supernovas who want to cause a revolution, not just build a business’ or ‘I give ‘How to’ solutions to people who want to lead an awesome life’ or ‘I create awesome lives for, with and through everyone’ The first two cause even better conversations.
The third one is complicated for a lot of people. Maybe even for you reading this blog for some time now. You might even be puzzled, lost in the depth of this blog. All those articles, all that knowledge, all that content. Where is the context of it all?
The reason why I write this blog is the belief everybody on this planet can have an awesome life.
That’s my Why. We need a lot of people leading an awesome life. People leading awesome lives want to serve others because they know they are great. Free from ego, filled with love and care for others.
The other thing about your pitch, you have to adjust your pitch to the context.
Your pitch will probably be different while having lunch with a friend. You pitch will be different when you are attending a seminar doing some networking during the breaks. Be aware of that context.
Your pitch will cause interest and curiosity when your Why is in it. It’s not just what you do that excites you and therefore others as well.
You’ve found your Why already when you’ve read this blog. Or you found it in some other place. Still wondering? Go here.
Of course you can also download my free E-Book, see the sidebar on the right. 150 Pages of Awesomeness (only on http://www.paulricken.nl/blog/)
Don’t worry
Even if you don’t have a clear purpose, you can experiment with your Why. To find what feels right for you. Use your friends, acquaintances, family and collegues to try some variations. Plenty of space to practice.
Having a pitch is a major thing. A creative supernova, which you are, wants to live the life they love to live. To enlighten the lives of others. Being awesome while doing that.
If you truly believe you are awesome you want your pitch to be breathtaking. To cause deep connections. You know it is possible.
Do you want some feedback on your pitch, just send them over. We might create a deep connection.
Summarizing
To give you some ‘How to’ stuff on how to create a loving pitch;
- Have Your WHY!
- Generate Interest and Curiosity.
- Experiment. Be brave and bold, don’t hold back.
- Causing frowning is not a bad thing, confusion is.
- Keep it short and simple.
- Content means nothing if you don’t adjust it to the context.
Inspire and Be Inspired
When the conversation takes off, present your results and be proud of it.
By the way, did you notice I don’t call it an elevator pitch. I prefer to call it Your Love Pitch.
You love Your Why don’t you. You Why is full of wanting to serve others which is an act of love.
And pitch everywhere you like. You have to show the real version of yourself in a lot of places. Through this you will create the connections you want.
Surrounding yourself with the people you love and are able to inspire you.
This is the main reason for having a great pitch. Causing beautiful lasting relationships. People will love you for this, trust me.
Go out and do it, adjust your email signature, put it on your business card, on your website, on your creed, on the back of your laptop screen, on the back of your smartphone, next to your door bell or on the back window of your car.
Check what it says now.
Make it better, fire it up.
You will be noticed.
You will be recognized as remarkable.
People want to be with you. The people YOU want.
“Love all, play to the max, achieve anything. Be Awesome”!
