I’ll have to admit, writing emboldens me. I often write things because I would never have the guts to say them out loud to another person, particularly if the comment would lead to a contentious situation. I’ve always said that I wish I could speak the way that I write, but I realize that this really isn’t the case. Putting a thought or an emotion in writing acknowledges it as a moment in my life, and then I move on. Often, what I write captures my thoughts like a snapshot, and helps me think through how I am feeling and why I am feeling the way I do. It’s therapy, in a way, and it helps me work through what I am dealing with…
