To truly Love God we need some animal sacrifice! I bet that got your attention. No, we don’t need to sacrifice actual animals but the animal part of our own nature. You see, as I have said before, God is Love. And since God loves you, what does He want in return? Obedience? No. If He wanted that He wouldn’t have given you freewill. To be loved in return? No. God’s love isn’t selfish. What He wants in return is to have that love accepted. It is a great gift — just take it! Fill yourself with that love and you will not be able to help loving Him back.

To really love Him back we need to sacrifice that animal part of ourselves. The part that says, “Save yourself.” The part that says, “Me first.” The part that says, “Survival of the fittest.” Yup. That’s just the nature of the beast. Kill that beast!

Don’t be an animal, be a human. Don’t be natural, be supernatural.

Natural says, “Save yourself.”

Supernatural says, “Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.” John 15:13

Natural says, “Me first.”

Supernatural says, “But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well.” Matthew 6:33

Natural says, “Survival of the fittest.”

Supernatural says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.” John 3:16

Kill the beast. Sacrifice that animal to God.

Peace be with you.
