Enjoyed this article! Loved you mentioned that the study involved rats as life sometimes feels as a “rat race”.
And I am guilty of participating in the rat race to seek more money and information. Yet it was more the money I was trying to attain and I lost the race. I became burnt out, no enjoyment in work, and hated my life. I was doing what you mentioned trying to please a boss by being a mindless “yes-man” employee (opposite of who I am). Much energy went into not being myself and worrying if I have done something to upset him. I even lost the pursuit of information which I love learning new things.
Just this week, I quit. Now I have a great vision that focuses on what you mentioned about “getting enjoyment of the journey of the journey that you seeking”.
I feel liberated to pursue a career in which allows me to fulfill gaining more knowledge for growth & development in life, career, & relationships. Reading this article only affirms that I made the right choice; onward to the pursuit of true happiness!
