It’s interesting to consider the link/limits between writing therapy and writing fiction (which you touched on briefly). On one hand, I think being close to your writing and having an emotional connection can only help — how could it be otherwise? On the other hand, I’m sure we’ve all been in writer’s groups where we witnessed fiction that was really therapy — and wasn’t that good :) . As for a journal as therapy — it’s an interesting idea!
