I’ve just posted something on Medium that is in the same sphere as this. I am REALLY worried about the direction things are taking, in the U.S., and U.K. and around the world. I understand that civilization goes through peaks and troughs, and I sadly believe we area heading into a trough — something that will be like the McCarthy Era on steroids. My biggest fear, though, is that this time, in an technology-fueled communication space fed by 24/7/365 news that is questionable in its accuracy, we won’t be able to pull out.

It’s already underway, but I believe that current conditions will accelerate the movement of the “world power baton” to China. We’ve lost our right to it.
