Rick Egidius & Yamin Semali are Hitting the Target on Their ‘Dream Collaborations’ Remix Collection

How many times have we pondered with the thought of our own ideal iconic collaboration between both our favorite musicians from the past and present?

It’s obvious how many artist and groups have been influenced by their counterparts across the musicical spectrum, in fact some are so moved to channel that energy all-out that it works to their advantage.

Graphic designer Rick Egidius and DJ Yamin Semali just did us all a favor by making that thought a reality.

The two artist teamed up to for 6 complete remixes of pure enjoyment.

Egidius brings the hype right off the back with his vibrant and bold album covers, while Semali lays down the flawless kin-like sounds from both ends of the timeline.

The ‘Dream Collaborations’ concept pairs artist like Miles Davis with Kendrick Lamar, Donnny Hathaway with Jay-Z and Herbie Hancock with Tyler the Creator.

Understanding how our current artist inspire the masses while carrying a message today requires that we all brush up on our musical history.

Hopefully works like this can urge many artist to team up in the booth and make some much desired vibes for the culture.

After all “The present is the key to the past” said James Hutton.
