Ok, I’m not trying to sound pretentious here and you have the right to your own opinion, but I honestly don’t think you understood the point of the film. Technically Boyhood is one of the greatest films ever made. Richard Linklater is one of the best directors ever simply because he doesn’t rely on a structure to create compelling and relatable films. He has made some of the most realistic films ever, and Boyhood is his magnem opus. It’s a quiet film that was made for people to reflect on their own experiences growing up. I suggest giving it another try, and i’m not sure why you don’t like Ethan Hawke. He is extremely talented
