Here’s my prediction: bitcoin, along with most other cryptocurrencies, will be gone in 4 years. Most people, except for those most prone to self-delusional behavior, will recognize them as the get-rich-quick pyramid schemes they are.
I assume you live in the US, which in my humble opinion is a failed state. This would largely explain your naive views, colored by a lack of knowledge of how more evolved societies function. Don’t take this personally: I just happen to believe that most Americans lack sufficient understanding of how the world around them works — including how more evolved societies function.
A couple of comments on two of your points:
Bitcoin as safe heaven: I would humbly propose that Venezuelans place their funds in real currencies like USD or Swiss Francs, as opposed to a wildly oscillating get-rich-quick scheme like any cryptocurrency. Another option would be to elect socially and financially responsible and transparent, governments, get rid of corruption, and educate the electorate sufficiently to avoid meltdowns in the future.
Some advice to your disillusioned millenials: these are largely found in under-evolved countries like the US. Most northern European countries have free education; in addition, you get state-subsidised student loans, a large portion of which is converted into a grant upon successful completion of your degree. I sould suggest people like “Liza’s Sweetpea” to look across the Atlantic for a more benevolent place to grow up. Alternatively, fix what’s wrong with Trumpland.
I’m from Norway, btw, a proper, socially coherent, egalitarian, evolved, and transparent Social Democracy (Boo!!) with an intelligent government (voted for by an equally intelligent electorate). No obvious need for bitcoins here…
