More advanced nations like Norway already provide phone-to-phone based apps for transferring money between account holders. Even kids do this. They then proceed to pay for their big macs, using the same app on their phone.

This story only shows — once again — how far behind the US is in terms of adapting technology, or should I say, making it street-smart. Technology that they themselves, ironically enough, initially created.

I live in France, btw, which is also roughly 30 years behind the Nordics in terms of banking tech…
