“Favorite Quote: The first principle is that you must not fool yourself and you are the easiest person to fool. — Richard Feynman”

I read a lot of psychology, productivity, history, biography, and art books. I also do yoga and love to cook, so I read a lot of food blogs. And of course, I read about programming! Please feel free to PM if you have any these interests or just want to chat about life, the universe, and everything.

Project interests: -Cryptocurrencies -Generative art -Generative music with AI/ML techniques

I loved hearing your stories and so excited to be learning with all of you!

Good morning from my corner of the world! …lemme find a covfefe.

I am a retired professional poker player (online) and a frustrated Medical Physics student.

I studied international relations in college, but now use my degree as a drink coaster on the kitchen table and am self-studying to prepare for a web development position like many of you!

How to transpile sass files using webpack? 1 hour of googling didn’t work for me…All that was because of a extra dot in webpack config. I am not angry, what is reason to be angry? It is just a dot.. we are a dot in scale of this universe, does universe hate us? no… I am not angry at you dot, I am not going to kill you.

Coding History: Started with Logo on an Apple II in elementary school in the 80s.

*Special note — Don’t let me near your code because I will break it

A personal goal for the cohort is to remote pair program with as many folks as I can at least once, so I can get to know you all as coders and learn from each of you!

I am a self-confessed geek who likes challenges.

I’m going to have to watch more South Korean movies now.

I’m very interested in building apps for community organizers and political activists, right now I’m working on an online advocacy tool that helps people contact their elected officials.

I have 3 kids and work full-time and do volunteer graphic design for a lot of other community orgs and nonprofits, and I’m on the board of a national disability civil rights organization. My ‘free time’ is pretty limited but I spend a lot of it reading about coding and trying to learn new stuff.

now off to finish my last project for the front end cert — back later with hopefully good news

no worries, everyone’s really supportive. i’m pretty much the same level you are but i just learned some react for last month’s cohort project! im sure you’ll have no problems too

Pardon me if it seems like prying but u sure u want to marry now?

Everybody is Falling in love with C

Mostly, what I enjoy in my free time is learning and helping others to learn. I love coding, learning new programming languages, testing the boundaries of what I can build with them, then learning some more.

Although I learned a lot from tutorials and walkthroughs, I figured that I already forgot a bunch of stuff, since most resources don’t provide the opportunity to practice your newly acquired skills sufficiently. That’s why I decided to join the Chingu Cohorts.

*Interests* Coding, obviously! But I also enjoy reading, writing, cocktails, Chinese language, geopolitics, martial arts and weightlifting.
