How I tried to start an open source project and failed.

Late February of 2016 I’ve decided to start an open source project around an idea that I had “create a Realtime Map Dashboard as SaaS”.
Let me tell you I’ve envisioned at least 10 of my facebook/twitter/instagram acquaintances will jump the horse and start coding like crazy…

Well… that never happened… :(

I had exactly 3 stars on Github and around 4 likes at facebook (I think they were the fruits of my direct “ask them to star it” approach)

I thought, that if i create more of the product and add some more visual appeal things will get going.

And then a month went by…

I was wrong. In early March i found myself with a working product that provides “Realtime Map Dashboard as SaaS” you can find it at http://www.glimpsedash.com

GlimpseDash has many cool features, looks neat. And give users exactly what i was aiming for when first thinking about it.

I’ve since then, removed the project from a public domain and it’s currently a free to use product.

I can use any type of feedback though… So if you have anything good|bad|ugly please let me know, you can drop a line at glimpsedash@gmail.com

Cheers!
