Day 10 on the road and it was probably my best. Ate well, got up early and worked all morning catching up on admin and reports. Hit the gym with back feeling good and pushed it a little. Treadmill for 8k under 45min and a Tabata with weights. Felt great so let’s see if I can walk tomorrow. So far so good after a two hour drive to Ottawa for tonight’s game.

In order to achieve success in training or life you have to have a little luck. Luck staying healthy, luck with weather allowing good training days, and luck with good equipment. One of my favorite quotes from coaching talks about my thoughts on this.

Today was a great example for me when I am prepared things go much better. The old me would often hope for luck rather create it. I have many friends who are constantly focused on thinking they have no luck but yet never put themselves in a position to be lucky. Don’t wait for someone else to do it for you. Prepare. Leave everything you can on the table when it’s all said and done. I will need constant reminders on this but that is a big part of my plan moving forward.

Happy Thursday. Best day of week
