Your headline repulsed me. Only after reading other articles of interest did I finally, in dread and disgust, read your essay. I, too, have learned to just not click on such links on Facebook, even by left leaning headlines of an astounding take down of someone or something. It’s usually drivel. But it isn’t just Facebook providers who use misleading headlines to get one to read mundane and ridiculous articles. I subscribe to Washington Post online and have learned to ignore all but what is accessible through the print version link. PBS and NPR are more reliable, but I do hate their endless coverage of polls and the endless election cycles! I find such coverage gag-worthy.
