I grew up in Michigan, where Pinconning cheese is the real deal. (It’s a mild cheddar.) Now I live in AZ and miss it a lot! Until the last few years, it was almost impossible to get any “real” cheese in the small town where I live. Now I can get almost anything I want! Yay!
Sadly, since my kid was 7 when we moved here, he never developed any appreciation for real cheese, as he never had any until he was maybe 30. Gouda is about as exotic as he can get. <sigh>
