In Soviet Russia, Day Plans You

If you don’t plan your day, someone else will.

I fight that through a wonderful habit I’ve picked up and continue to adapt from Cal Newport. After my morning checklist, I plan my work day. What I’m going to work on and when in my calendar. I don’t have to stick to it fervently, but it gives me an idea of what I can actually accomplish in the day, and an extra means of pushing back against non-priority requests. And it takes about 2 minutes to do once I have my today’s todo list setup.
