Well, if as a car mechanic you need to create new tools all the time (as us software developers usually need to do) then, yes, she’d better take his paid time to invent a meaningful (not necessarily creative) name for her new tool. Otherwise other mechanics who want to use the tool will already get confused by the name, and loose valuable time they could spend using or improving the new tool.
This is not about having fun, fun is merely a side product. Creating quality is always more fun. Good naming is a matter of quality. And if you’re unsatisfied with the quality of you’re naming you better spend a few minutes improving the quality of your naming, otherwise the lack of quality will drag down the quality of the entire product. (in the example here naturally not very extreme, but still)
