We founded Trustbot to make the non-disclosure (NDA) process easier and more effective. We started with the idea that the lowly NDA, the most common of all business agreements, can benefit greatly from a process that goes beyond just e-signing. This is because NDAs are a team sport: Teams need to make sure the NDA gets signed, and individuals on a team are the ones who must actually comply with its terms. The best way to make NDAs work for teams is to integrate them into the workflow applications they already use.

To this end, today we released a key integration, Trustbot for Gmail. Trustbot for Gmail puts an NDA control panel right inside your Inbox, so you can check NDA status with a click, and send, sign and manage NDAs without ever leaving Gmail. Teams can share agreement forms, add custom language for any signer, and revise and resend with ease when required. When an NDA is signed outside of Trustbot, you can upload and index it from the Gmail Inbox; or share the Google Drive folder where you keep your NDAs with cc@trustbot.io, and we’ll keep your index in sync automatically and map it to the team’s contacts.

Trustbot for Gmail works in tandem with Trustbot for Google Calendar, which watches for signals that an NDA may be needed, and when it is, makes it happen nearly automatically. For any meeting or call, the team can instantly see, based on the event color and notes, whether their meeting or call is covered by NDA. With one click from the calendar event, they can send one for signature or initiate their team’s request process.

Trustbot for Gmail is a big step toward our vision of “Non-Disclosure as a Service”. We also have a hunch that bots can also help make NDAs more effective, by helping to ensure that information is labeled as required by the NDA, send post-meeting reminders when needed, and once confidential discussions are over, get confirmation that those exposed to confidential information have returned or destroyed it. By improving the end-to-end non-disclosure process, we can enhance IP protection and help business move just a little bit faster.

If your team is on G Suite, I hope you’ll give it a try. By the way, it’s free.
