Fearless

For a brief time I had become one with the road.

Walking back from a 5 mile journey around the northern most point of Topsail Island, I found my way back was harder than the way to where I had ventured out to be.

Walking towards traffic and seeing so many dead things and garbage strewn upon the sides of the road, I felt I had seen what it was Mark was showing us.

Cars drove by fast, crossing the center line as if I was the problem, not them speeding so fast that if ever were to have hit me, I would have had no chance.

He was fearless until his end.

I appreciate so much what he had taught me. Today. I walked without fear again. His sacrifice has taught me so much.

Everyday I am going to do my best to live fearlessly.
