I am a fan of your work. I think you were the doctor in the Russel Crowe Master and Commander movie. Your story for this movie really interests me and I suspect I will watch it. My question from your article however, is how does someone maintain being innocent and at the same time require forgiveness. Or, additionally, how does someone “deserve” forgiveness. Hugo had a common idea and faced us all with one of the most beautiful tales, but it is his weakness of idea as well. We are not innocent. Else who are monsters in our midst. Or who or what embodies the darkest darkness around us. We find forgiveness because a standard of offering it was exhibited on the highest levels. And therein we learn and partake of its beauty and it’s reproductive mandate.
