So true. I predict that we’ll see a similar type of learning curve that came with touch interfaces and the introduction of gestures. Although it’s not completely analogous, there were clever mechanisms app designers used to educate users with discovery.

You are totally correct that conversational apps will have similar issues with discovery. I think this is one of the reasons many of the messaging platforms (Messenger with Structured messages for example) are introducing “non-conversational” pieces of UI to help users understand, and discover functionality.
