History

Gündüz Bey’s son, Aydodu Bey, was raised by his uncle Osman Gazi and fought alongside him in several wars. He died when he was very young, in July 1302, during the Koyunhisar War (probably 17–18 years old). His burial lies on the route from Dimbos, now known as Erdoan Village, to Koyunhisar, between Bursa and Yenişehir. He claims that Oruç Beg’s grave, known as Tevârîh-i l-i Osman, was known as the Turkish Khan Tomb, and that the horses’ pains were relieved after three rounds around the tomb. Despite the fact that Gündüz, Osman Bey’s eldest brother, desired the establishment of a state, he only saw it for a few months before dying at negöl in 1299.
