He‘s Not As Smart As He Thinks

Elon Musk has done a great job of promoting his public persona as an engineering and managerial genius.

He has legions of fans who will pile into the comments section and ask What have you ever done?

They may well see the invention of Tesla blasting rockets to space with SpaceX as evidence of his genius. Asking Google about Musk’s IQ and you will see it’s 155 (well above the genius level of 140).

So how can this article possibly claim Musk is an idiot?

Elon’s Business Background

Contrary to popular belief, Musk didn’t create Tesla. Martin Eberhard and Marc Tarpenning did even though Musk is listed as a co-founder of Tesla on the carmaker’s website.

Effectively Musk invested in the existing company, became the majority shareholder, and joined Tesla’s board of directors as chairman and listed himself as the founder.

That’s a little dubious
