Sometimes I give junior devs a helping hand on Twitter (or X, if you sign up for the Musk madness).

“I never expected the following situation to happen”

The Situation

The Tweet contained a softball question about how to do some formatting in the FE and asked whether they should use a singleton or other technique.

I made a reply that I think they found helpful I recommended a testable third option. Nobody else in the comments went this far.

However, I do have a secret to share (and it’s not my identity!). That secret is the truth that I used AI to help me write that solution.

“I’m shocked that nobody else either does this or have picked up on me that I do it”

The surprise

I know already that people ask softball questions on X (he’s got me too) to get engagement.

Yet people are sucking up low-quality coding questions and giving similarly poor coding answers. It strikes me that it hasn’t occurred…
