Here’s What I Learned In 2015

How I felt doing work I wasn’t passionate about.

Don’t waste your time doing something you don’t love doing. It’s cliché, but sadly it’s true. It eats you up inside, day after day after day… until one day you wake up and realize you hate it. You hate going to work. At least that’s how I felt. Others would probably consider it a ‘phase’, and tell themselves that it’ll get better.

I said, ‘fuck it‘, and quit.

I’ve been doing what I love ever since and haven’t regretted it once. I also work part-time and sell bags at Timbuk2 and fucking love that too.

Because you’re not legit until you have a logo.

For those who don’t know by now, I’ve been working on building a YouTube channel called EXCESSORIZE ME. (or ‘YouTubing‘, as some would call it). To date, I’ve collected about 4,700 subscribers, and yeah, I consider myself a ‘YouTuber‘. I also go by ‘Content Creator‘ and ‘Storyteller‘.

That’s my main priority for 2016 — to build a larger audience, in fact, my goal is to attain 100,000 subscribers by 2017. More on that in future posts, but I’ll also be covering a few other aspects of my life including:

  • How I buy and sell on Kijiji
  • The books I’m attempting to read but probably won’t finish
  • My gym journeys to build man boobs, thunder thighs, and abs of steel
  • And hopefully-maybe-probably-not-this-year-but-maybe starting a business

Why did I not write about this stuff earlier? Because I was too fucking lazy. I’m also a sucker for the whole ‘New Year, New Me‘ movement.

So here’s to an inspiring 2016 and saying ‘no‘ to more things I don’t want to fucking do.

Just, no.
