This is great to see support for a dynamic shift in the Food Industry that is here upon the World. Simply put going vertical does not mean losing nutrition or causing harm to the environment or anyone but rather simply bringing innovation forward to solve resiliency, food security and the multiplied growth of Food needed for the World. Their are multiple markets emerging for the Urban demand of fresh food and Climate controlled farming needed environments and that allow for Niche markets of types of food for potential export as well. We are deep into efforts in Bangkok Thailand and Manila to drive this across ASEAN as entrepreneurs not only for food but fish as well. You can have all the relationships but it takes capital. We see a multi-billion dollar industry for the future. The demand for Urban and Niche food for localized consumption and exports to China are huge. In our case we see profits providing a bridge to innovate the local farmers to enhance their own production of valuable farming products for increasing their incomes in support of their children as well. This is evolution is already here and is not going away is just takes the right focused efforts, relationships and funding and to gain support to see the vision turn into reality. The same urban methodology of approaches will emerge in using methods like Ocean Speheres to raise fish in the ocean. The market to enter this business for food is huge with few entrants at this time. http://blog.nola.com/times-picayune/2007/12/fish_farms_hailed_as_solution.html . An entrepreneur with funds can be well positioned to see a very viable business that not only makes money but solves real needs and brings communities together. This is a Win Win. We are hoping for someone like Kimbal and I am thankful to see he can see the future.
