A significant personal lesson learned in 2017

My dear friends,

On a very personal note, I would like to share the following: Year 2017 in the beginning brought me profound sorrow and grief, with the loss of my beloved father on February 18th, 2017.

While this has been a life-changing experience for several reasons, on which I shall elaborate on future posts, I would like to stress out that the fact alone of losing a loved one, the process of coming face to face with the unthinkable, the situation of having to deal with the unmanageable, truly helped me to re-consider the meaning of life.

Strange as it may sound, going through extreme pain, sorrow and frustration actually helped me to become a better, and then later, a happier person.

Life is short; it has a beginning and also has an end; and it is very wise that it is so.

Acknowledging this reality in the beginning is extremely frustrating but gradually it helps you being happy with what it is; accepting reality only helps you enjoy life, in real.

Being then truly grateful for living my life with people who I respect and admire, at the end of 2017 and the beginning of 2018 I would like to do the following:

  • first, to warmly thank all those who helped my, and,
  • second, to sincerely ask those to whom I’ve possible be unfair to excuse me, and, last,
  • third, to offer my most honest and true forgiveness to all those who might have been unfair to me.

Life is short and it is of utmost importance to take care every single day that it is well-lived, with nothing mattering more than deep, true, frank and honest relationships.

Leave no room for hypocrisy, leave no room for fake relationships and, it is absolutely certain, 2018 and the years to follow will be happy and bright.

My warmest wishes for a very happy, peaceful and creative new year to All!
