Adit, the Beanstalk, and Evil Witch

Long ago, in a far, far away village, there lived a poor young man named Adit. He was a poor farmer who lived with his mother. One day, while herding the Village Chief’s goats in a field on the edge of the village, Adit found a giant bean seed. Adit immediately picked up the seed without hesitation and planted it in the fertile soil before his house.

Because Adit didn’t have much to do, he diligently cared for the bean seeds. Adit watered it every morning and ensured that wild animals would not disturb the planted seed. A few weeks later, the bean seed grew into a tall, enormous beanstalk. Adit was surprised to see it and very curious because this weird plant’s top could not be seen from below. He decided to climb it to see what was at the top. After climbing for several hours, Adit arrived at the top and saw a magnificent palace. The palace looked dazzling because the outside of the castle was decorated with various kinds of precious stones.

Inside the palace was a King mourning his daughter, who was trapped in the curse of the Evil Witch. The Princess was cursed to become a crystal statue, starting at her feet slowly. By then, the Princess had become a crystal down to her waist. If the Princess’ entire body turned into a crystal, the King would die of a broken heart and cause the palace to lose its lustre. The kingdom would also be destroyed.

Adit bravely offered his help and fought against the Evil Witch. With his courage and ingenuity in making Evil Witch reveal her weakness, Adit defeated her and reversed the Princess’ curse. The Evil Witch became a crystal statue and was immediately destroyed by the King. Adit became a hero who freed the Princess from the curse and saved the kingdom from disaster.

The King was impressed with Adit’s bravery and rewarded him. Because the palace and the whole place looked so magical, Adit asked for a magic goat that could produce endless milk and meat. Adit and his mother lived in prosperity and happiness with that magic goat.

That is the story of Adit, a poor farmer who fights against the Evil Witch and succeeds. This story teaches that courage, ingenuity, and kindness are always valued and respected, even in a world of wonder and impossibility.
