You go girl! It’s so easy for people to sit behind their computer and trash someone else’s struggle. Your story is my story…from a poor family…got an expensive education…and had to struggle. I’m a Gen-X’er (per the Atlantic http://www.theatlantic.com/national/archive/2014/03/here-is-when-each-generation-begins-and-ends-according-to-facts/359589/)…and I’ve had to overcome my family’s situation, being LGBTQ, and other issues that resulted from my family dynamic, and I don’t mean a trust fund or inherited property! Instead: homelessness, the death of parents in my teenage years, working since I was in high school to pay for my own clothes and food…and no family support with going to college. I’m one of those older dudes, I’m in my 40’s, who get your struggle and wish you the best…I truly appreciate you writing this article to remind folks hard work and a good education sometimes still means…we have a struggle…and that we’re not all, Millennials and others, suffering entitlement issues!
