A view of Moon From Earth:

Permanent Human Habitation On A Planetary Body Other Than Earth:

Permanent human habitation on a planetary body other than Earth is one the science fiction’s most prevalent themes.

As technology has advanced and concerns about the future of humanity on Earth have increased, the vision of space colonization as an achievable & worthwhile goal has gained momentum.

Because of it’s proximity to Earth, the Moon is seen as the best & most obvious location for the first permanent off-planet colony.

Currently the main problem hindering the development of such colony is the high cost of spaceflight.

What would it be like to live on Moon:

The Moon has no atmosphere, no weather & no oceans of water. It’s surface is in a perpetual vacuum.

Life on Moon would be very different for explores than life on Earth. From it’s lighter gravity to lack of air, the Moon is a harsh mistress.

Gravity of Moon:

Moon’s gravity is one-sixth that of Earth’s gravity.

Daily swings of Moon:

The Moon undergoes tremendous daily swings in surface temperature, from a daytime average of 253 ℉ to 387 ℉ at night.

Tour on the Moon:

There are also several projects that have been proposed for the near future by space tourism startup companies for tourism on the Moon.
