What is a lack of education? A lack of education refers to a below-average level of common knowledge about basic life skills like math, writing, and spelling. Based on a study in 2018 that 15-year-old Filipinos are in the last rank in reading comprehension and math and science are also 78th. One of the reasons for this is that most public schools have no computers, lack of teachers, and resources for updated or better lessons to teach. And 3 million young people are not enrolled. This crisis has long-term effects, including misinformation, poor decision-making, and social concerns. The lack of education has created a bad problem for the people and the country. Different problems are becoming big problems for a country like the Philippines. Because of the lack of education, it is caused by poverty. Because those who drop out of school are more likely to be unemployed and less likely to secure good jobs. In conclusion, lack of education perpetuates poverty and poverty limit the access to education. So basically most of a country’s or Filipino’s major problems have begun with lack of education. That is just one of the issues that causes a lack of education in a person or a country. Do you believe that one of the reasons for the suffering of the Philippine nation is the lack of education? For me, yes, I believe. I believe that the lack of education is one of the main causes of problems in our country today.

The reasons for the lack of education are difficulties, shortage of school facilities, access to schools for students that are far from their places, lack of resources, and other reasons. Other students are also unable to go to school because some students live in places that are difficult to travel to like mountains, they don’t have “baon” whether it is money or food, some think that their fares and fees at school quite expensive or they just don’t have their uniforms. Low interests to study. Sometimes the reasons can be: outdated teaching methods, the schools have no equipment for teaching, like television, computers, or laptops. I strongly believe that lack of education causes problems in one country, like the Philippines. Lack of education leads to poverty, unemployment, the inability to speak or stand for yourself, inequality, poor health, or a shorter life span. The inability to make their children attend school forces them, and their children to work instead. Making history repeat itself, the parents of the students worked at a young age instead of studying causing them to be more poor individuals. Generations to generations, this is what happens. It is just like a cycle, every generation has less parental support. Those who don’t attend school, don’t study, or drop out students are more likely to be unemployed and less likely to secure jobs. This means being unable to finish school or lack of education can cause unemployment. In the Philippines, some jobs require applicants to be at least a High School or College Graduate. But some people didn’t even finish their elementary journey causing them to find jobs difficult and most of the time ended up being jobless. They may also be able to find a job but the salary is low which can be not enough to support their families and basic needs like the proper place to live and enough food. Poverty can lead to hunger. According to borgenproject.org “Hunger is one of the extreme effects of poverty in the Philippines”. We also know that when a person is unemployed, it will be difficult for them to have income or money to use daily. Even if they have a job but only with a small income is still not enough. Some of us witnessed this this kind of situation in other people or, worse, some have experienced it themselves. Being unemployed means no income, you can’t get enough food to eat, and if you get sick and need medication or hospitalization, you don’t have something to support you. It can be worse possibly the cause of your death. Education has a huge impact on a person. Its importance will be seen when the time comes. If so, the lack of education is one of the causes of the biggest problems in our country today. And lack of education can prevent you from knowing your rights. Since you cannot object if you are ignorant. Uneducated people lack the abilities and self-assurance to speak up for themselves. Most individuals assume that if you lack education you’re just a low-life, worthless person. They will devalue you, and as a result, they won’t respect you. Human rights can be restricted by inequality due to discrimination, abuse, and a lack of access to the legal system. However, it is crucial to understand that not everyone who lacks formal education leads a life of failure, even while it is true that a lack of formal education might offer difficulties and limit options. There are many other ways to define success, and someone without a formal education can nonetheless be successful in other contexts. Undoubtedly, education is vital in providing people with information and skills, but it’s also important to recognize that occasionally not having a formal education may make people more responsible, motivated, and goal-oriented. However, we can still stop the lack of education in the Philippines. We can still finish studying using the government’s free education program. Enhance Teacher Training and Salaries. Invest in teacher training programs to raise educational standards. Competent instructors can be attracted to and kept by competitive remuneration. Modern teaching approaches and strategies should be included in the training as well. Another solution will be that school resources and infrastructure should be improved, and new schools should be constructed, especially in rural and distant locations. Ensure that schools have access to the necessary technology. Those are just a few solutions to the problem, which is lack of education.

In conclusion, I want to point out how lack of education affects us, people, and our country. It is a big factor in our country. It is mainly the cause of difficulties in our country. I want to show how important education is. It plays a big factor in our lives. It is one of the big parts that will make our future to be better. Lack of education can start conflicts in our lives. Lack of education in the Philippines is a significant issue, leading to poverty, unemployment, inequality, poor health, and a shorter life span. Factors such as difficulties in accessing schools, lack of resources, and outdated teaching methods contribute to this issue. Students often work at a young age instead of attending school, perpetuating the cycle of poverty. Those who drop out or are unable to finish school are more likely to be unemployed. In the Philippines, some jobs require high school or college degrees, but many students don’t even finish elementary school, making it difficult to secure jobs. Poverty can also lead to hunger. Unemployment can lead to financial struggles, lack of food, and even death. Education plays a significant role in addressing these issues. Lack of education is a major cause of problems in our country, as it prevents individuals from knowing their rights and speaking up for themselves. Society often devalues those without education, leading to inequality and restricted human rights due to discrimination, abuse, and limited access to the legal system. But there are still solutions that we can make. We need to finish our studies no matter what. As a student, we should know how important education is. And surely lack of education will leave a negative mark on our future.
