I have about 5 years to save up for the other dream car of mine the Skyline R34 GTR. It is commonly known as Godzilla before the R35 Nissan GTR came out around 2008. It is an AWD monster with a twin-turbo charged 2.6 or 2.8L, inline-6 engine commonly known as the RB26DETT or RB28DETT. It is illegal to own in the United States because Nissan did not conduct enough crash tests to deem it “safe.” It was thought to be due to emissions but turns out Nissan does not want to crash a number of these beautiful machines to make the US Gov happy. Not to fear though because there is a way to own one legally and without having to pay a hefty fee to make it “safe.” The 25-year import law will allow cars deemed illegal to become legal because they would be considered a classic car. This would allow the 1999 Nissan GTR R34 to be legal in the year 2024. The restrictions on cars is not favorable for car enthusiasts because some of the best cars are not sold in the US. Enthusiasts would need to wait 25 years or pay a lot of money to treat it as a showroom car. Let me know what your dream car or cars are in the comments below.
