Why Mechanics of Fluids?

When I was looking at my course selection sheet that was provided to me, it said that Mechanics of Fluids was a required class. Thus, here I am! But what I didn’t realize at the time of picking the class was that the professor was going to make this class fun or difficult. I’ve had many professors in the past that have proven to be decent teachers. But Dr. Ferrar is something different that I have never encountered before (besides in elementary school where teachers had to be nice to kids). Dr. Ferrar has a genuine goal in mind to help students accomplish what they want to accomplish in their lifetime. He dedicates a lot of time into creating fun courses that are very interactive and exciting to sit in and learn from. The funny thing is that I actually didn’t pick his class first. I chose a different class (Tuesday from 5:30–8:00) over his (Wednesday 5:30–8:00). Once I attended Engineering Economics with him as my professor, I knew I had to change immediately. And now, here I am in his Fluids of Mechanics class and I can’t wait to see what he has in store for us!
