This is the first part of two part series talking about pre-framing your offer. In this article we will cover the three types of traffic temperature.

Traffic temperature is a concept that defines the mindset of the people who are arriving to your offer. I was reading Russell Brunson’s book called DotComSecrets a while back where he talked about these different types of traffic. These traffic types are important to understand especially when pre-framing your offers.

Cold Traffic

Cold traffic is the kind of traffic that is not aware about you or what you are offering. They don’t know if they can trust you. These people may have come to your site through banner ads that they stumbled across on their favorite website or if you have done PPC ads they may have clicked one of them.

Warm Traffic

These people don’t necessarily know you but they know someone you know. Their interests align with what you are offering. They might have found you and your site through YouTube video or through some other person that promoted your site. This can be for example some other person who promoted your offer for his email list. Social traffic e.g. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter should also be considered as warm traffic since you are targeting people based on their interests.

Hot Traffic

Hot traffic is made up of people who know you. They are already reading your blog or subscribed to your mailing list and they follow you on your social media sites. You have established a relationship with these people.

Now that you know the different types of traffic, you probably figured out that you can’t talk the same way to all of them. Second article of this series shows you how to talk to each of them.
