This is a really important point. Over the past year, I realised majority of the one-on-one sessions I conducted were just ranting sprees. Afterwards, it was difficult to identify meaningful steps to achieve improvement. Ranting creates the impression that some progress has been made yet in reality nothing changes. This led to greater frustrations among some of the team members.
